The beach resort in Poreč, designed by architect Boris Podrecca in close cooperation with WERFT, is currently under construction. Despite the advanced stage of the construction process, the landscape planning needed to be revised as some aspects of the earlier stage no longer satisfied current standards, paying more attention to biodiversity and climate resilience.
LAND was commissioned to revise the concept to ensure that the beach resort is aesthetically pleasing and meets the latest ecological principles. The aim is to identify the homogeneous landscape areas and define strategic guidelines for their enhancement, focusing on integrating green areas and implementing nature-based solutions to preserve the natural environment and provide sustainable solutions to ecological challenges. We proposed radical and vertical green, to make the most out of the available space.
This approach not only pursues aesthetic goals but is also intended to make a sustainable contribution to creating a green oasis within the resort.
