LAND Expands its Presence in the Middle East with New Office in Riyadh

LAND announces the expansion of its global presence by establishing a new office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This move strengthens our strategic role in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, further supporting our ongoing projects and fostering new collaborations.

The official announcement occurred during a site visit to the Al Urubah Park construction project, an iconic green space representing Saudi Arabia’s ambitious urban transformation efforts. Al Urubah Park, the region’s first digitally driven park, is one of LAND’s flagship projects in Riyadh, along with the expansive Al Khuzam residential development, which features a unique 8.5 km green corridor connecting 70,000 housing units.

With this new presence, LAND positions itself as a key player in driving nature-positive transitions in urban planning across the MENA region. Our Riyadh office, located in the Diplomatic Quarter, will serve as a hub for collaboration with local and regional stakeholders, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable and resilient urban development.

“We are excited to deepen our connection to this rapidly evolving region, contributing our expertise in landscape architecture and urban planning to help shape the future of Saudi Arabia’s cities,” said Andreas Kipar. “Our mission is to reconnect people with nature, and our presence in Riyadh allows us to actively support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative.”

Jens Hoffmann emphasized the importance of Riyadh’s urban forestry initiative as a model for addressing extreme climate conditions. “Our goal is to create livable, resilient spaces that enhance community interaction and promote sustainability.”

This expansion aligns with LAND’s broader mission of fostering sustainable development. It reflects our commitment to leveraging research, innovation, and digital transformation to tackle the challenges of climate change and urban growth.
