LAND with Arup Berlin for METRO-KLIMA-LAB
METRO-KLIMA-LAB is the inter-communal project of Stadt Niederkassel, Stadt Köln, and Troisdorf addressing urban climate challenges through research, experimentation, and innovative design interventions within the funding program „Adapting Urban Space To Climate Change“.
Together with Arup Berlin, LAND Germany developed a competitive concept for METRO-KLIMA-LAB, proposing a climate-resilient, interconnected, and regenerative green network where citizens and municipalities can participate in a collective living lab for monitoring, testing, and innovating climate strategies together.
Our LANDlers Kristina Knauf, Anna-Lena Bauer, and Hung Ping-Yi had the chance to gain direct feedback on the sustainability of their proposal thanks to the project’s KlimaCheck tool, which will be valuable for future realization steps.
