Competition for the Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge Au Lustenau
LAND is part of the winning team led by the engineering firm Giorgio Masotti and with Arch. Orsi/PiniSwiss in the Competition for the bicycle and pedestrian bridge Au Lustenau.
LAND is proud to be part of the winning team, led by the engineering firm Giorgio Masotti and together with Arch. Orsi/PiniSwiss, in the international competition for the 300-metre-long bicycle and pedestrian bridge over the Rhine, which will connect the municipality of Au in Switzerland with the Austrian municipality of Lustenau.
The jury unanimously awarded the project first prize for its ability to “create a point of attraction in the union between the two nations” through a “significant and original structural expression and harmonious integration of the bridge into the site.”
LAND will intervene along the revitalized riverbanks by creating a new system of bicycle and pedestrian paths, rest areas and belvedere platforms at different heights, enhanced by vegetation.
