LAND Research Lab Concludes Four-Year Participation in Horizon 2020 T-Factor Project

Throughout the T-Factor project, leaded by ANCI Toscana, the LAND Research Lab has contributed significantly to developing resources and tools to promote sustainable and equitable urban regeneration.

The involvement of the LAND Research Lab in the Horizon 2020 T-Factor project has successfully concluded after four years of dedicated research and practice. This innovative European initiative explored the transformative potential of temporary uses in urban regeneration projects, addressing critical urban challenges and fostering inclusive development.

Throughout the T-Factor project, leaded by ANCI Toscana, the LAND Research Lab has contributed significantly to developing resources and tools to promote sustainable and equitable urban regeneration. These valuable materials are now available for free on the T-Factor website and the T-Factor Toolbox, providing a wealth of knowledge for practitioners, communities, and policymakers.

On May 7, we have been at the final T-Factor event, a closing conference that showcased the project’s insights and learnings. This event served as a platform for discussing how temporary urbanism can effectively address long-term urban challenges and create participatory, inclusive, and vibrant cities.

Now, we are excited to share the publication, “From Within: Temporary Use for Collective Change,” which encapsulates the findings and experiences from the T-Factor project. This book offers a curated systematisation of temporary uses, illustrating how these practices can be leveraged during urban redevelopments to foster sustainable, inclusive, and equitable urban environments. We hope this publication will inspire and guide future actions in urban regeneration.

You can download “From Within: Temporary Use for Collective Change” for free from the T-Factor website. We look forward to seeing how these insights will continue to inspire and shape the future of urban regeneration.
