Andreas Kipar featured in 360-degree film about the Ruhr area
Celebrating 25 years of the Industrial Culture Route in Essen, the film by Frank Bürgin provides a panoramic of cultural, social and environmental changes in the Ruhr area.
The Industrial Culture Route, a format combining the industrial heritage of the Ruhr area with cultural events and tourist highlights, launches its 25th anniversary with a four-day celebration at the World Heritage Site Zeche Zollverein in the north of Essen.
On the occasion, from Thursday, May 30th to Sunday, June 2nd, several events and activities will be organised around the anchor points of the Route, including a photo exhibition, a family day, a dance party and talks featuring local heroes.
In particular, a brand new 360-degree film experience premiering at the upcoming celebrations will feature an interview with Andreas Kipar.
Directed and produced by Frank Bürgin, the fifteen-minute film aims at providing a panoramic and sincere view of the Ruhr area, tackling topics like the changing industrial cultural landscape, ecological transformation, and daily social contrasts.
The film plays with the special features of the round room it will be projected in, displaying interviews from six perspectives at the same time, collages of numerous images and actual 360-degree footage, which has been realised filming from eight different angles simultaneously.
