The project features a canopy designed to shield from the elements, a Hispanic Platanus, and a furniture system that serves as both seating and protection for the tree, with the potential to double as bicycle racks. This integration of nature and technology is a testament to our innovative approach.
The shelter’s perennial flowering meadow on the roof, capable of attracting various birds and insects, underscores the themes of sustainability and biodiversity. The shelter is designed to be a floating element that, through materials and colours, reflects the identity of the VOLVO brand and the showroom close to the project area.
The canopy is also equipped with a printed and backlit cloth to communicate different contents, transforming this object into a real light installation. Our interventions becomes an opportunity to recharge the car, but also to recharge ourselves while reconnecting with nature: Plug-in Nature!
