Situated at the heart of Montréal’s vibrant Quartier des Spectacles, this innovative project introduces a pioneering landscape identity designed to offer ecological benefits to the urban core. The initiative draws on the principles of the Quartier des Spectactles highlighting a long-standing commitment to integrating culture and nature within the urban core, through the proliferation of performance venues, cultural events, and public art installations that often reflect or incorporate natural themes​.It is envisioned as a green oasis amidst the city’s concrete expanse, fostering biodiversity and providing a refreshing escape from the urban environment. The design incorporates four foundational layers — soil, humans, vegetation, and fauna — working harmoniously to establish a welcoming and inclusive space for community engagement and ecological diversity.

The project’s foundation rests on fully permeable soil, ensuring uninterrupted natural flows and fostering a thriving ecosystem. A distinctive feature of this green oasis is its innovative floating walkway, a striking yellow structure that hovers above the ground, enveloped by lush vegetation. This elevated path, coupled with an intricate network of nets, invites visitors into an immersive ‘mini-forest’ experience where they can relax, engage in playful activities, and intimately connect with nature.

With adaptability at its core, the space is ready to host a diverse range of activities, from serene winter gatherings to vibrant summer festivals. It’s a space that seamlessly adjusts to the changing seasons and community needs, reassuring you of its functionality and versatility.
