New publication involving LAND Canada

Nadia Amoroso's latest book, "Representing Landscape: visualizing climate action," has been officially published by Routledge. It includes the contributions of Andreas Kipar and Valeria Pagliaro: "Landscape of Relations".

Representing Landscapes: Visualizing Climate Action, edited by Nadia Amoroso for Routledge, provides a comprehensive exploration of graphic and visual techniques used to communicate climate change and climate action within landscape architecture and academia. Featuring contributions from award-winning professionals and academics worldwide, the book highlights how visual representations can convey complex climate adaptation and resilience strategies.

One of the key chapters, “Landscape of Relations” by Andreas Kipar and Valeria Pagliaro, examines the interconnectedness of landscapes in addressing climate challenges.

Today, our project images illustrate not only aesthetic appeal but also the productivity of nature through ecosystem services that enhance our well-being. They highlight the complex interplay of environmental and social factors that shape and enable each project.

“Our interactions with landscape involve vital issues that revolve around soil, water and air, but also empathy, social identity and community,” as Valeria Pagliaro, General Manager of LAND Canada states.

From Europe to Canada and beyond, we keep exploring the intricate dialectics between nature and culture to foster a new paradigm where landscape development serves as a regenerative force. Through our people-oriented approach, we aim to cultivate a network of relationships between the territory, its communities, and stakeholders, creating liveable and vibrant places.

This book serves as a critical resource for students, practitioners, and urban planners, offering insights into visually capturing climate change issues and effectively communicating solutions to the public.
