LAND joins Assorisorse to promote the Ecological Transition

LAND Italia has joined Assorisorse and in particular the new sector of Carbon Neutrality and Circular Economy to promote the Ecological Transition in Italy.

Assorisorse—Natural Resources and Sustainable Energies is the Confindustria Association derived from Assomineraria—Italian Mining Association. It comprises about 100 companies committed to enhancing natural resources and intellectual skills through technological innovation and the circular economy, decarbonising industrial processes, and achieving environmental, economic, and social sustainability.

To support our shared commitment to the journey towards sustainability, we are proud to announce that during the General Assembly of 22 September, Andreas Kipar, co-founder and CEO of LAND, has become a member of the General Council of Assorisorse, along with other prestigious figures from the energy and natural resources industry such as Gaetano Annunziata, Corrado Baccani, Filippo Brandolini, Leonardo Brunori, Raffaele Calabrese De Feo, Luigi Ciarrocchi, Andrea Colombo, Massimo de Mauro, Oscar Guerra, Marco Marsili, Giacomo Rispoli, Francesco Somma, Michele Stangarone, Davide Usberti, Katrien Verlinden, Patrizia Zuppini.

LAND and Assorisorse together at the OMC 2021 Med Energy Conference and Exhibition in Ravenna

The first public occasion of our common commitment is the OMC 2021 Med Energy Conference and Exhibition in Ravenna, where LAND – represented by Matteo Pedaso, Senior Director and Partner, and Andrea Balestrini, Head of LAND Research Lab – took part as speakers in the event Carbon Neutrality and Circular Economy: seeking new business models organised by Assorisorse. This was the perfect occasion to present Assorisorse’s new range of action as well as its sector dedicated to Carbon Neutrality and Circular Economy and the project Zero Waste Industrial Scheme that helps cities to transform, through innovation and technology, the waste issue into valuable energy resources.

Sustainability Compass at OMC, Ravenna

For the OMC exhibition, LAND also developed the project of Assorisorse’s stand: an innovative stand with an entire layout dedicated to sustainability. For the first time, the stand also presented to the public the Sustainability Compass developed by LAND. This is a new approach to making the environmental and socio-economic impacts of projects visible within the ecological transition driven by the European Green Deal.

The Compass examines four landscape projects by LAND and relates them to the principles of sustainability, inclusiveness and beauty of the European Commission’s transdisciplinary initiative New European Bauhaus, the core principles of sustainability and the relevant goals of the 2030 Agenda (SDGs). The projects selected to participate in the New European Bauhaus Prize are thus evaluated according to their performance within the specific targets of the SDGs.

The result is a holistic and comparative assessment that communicates strengths and weaknesses simply and straightforwardly while stating the commitment of the stakeholders involved to achieving the global sustainability goals.
